The Only Dandy is a dance entertainment company in Dubai. We cast dancers, direct the choreography, and produce the show around your event. Scale moves with the brief, from a small troupe in a lobby to more than 100 performers on a public floor. The routine is written for your room, your audience, and your reveal. We start from the brief rather than from a set piece.

Choreography created for the event

We start each routine from the brief. We look at the space, the guest flow, the timing of the reveal, and the feeling the moment needs to carry. Only then do we cast dancers and write the choreography. A brief for a mall floor at noon is not the same brief as a gala stage at ten in the evening, and the movement should say so. So a mall activation and a gala opening piece are approached as separate pieces of work rather than one act in different costumes. Costume direction, music edits, and props are treated as part of the choreography rather than something added at the end. For Union Fortress 10, a multi mall flashmob activation, we produced custom music and costume production alongside Emirati singers, so the piece held together across every location.

Scale that matches the room

A dance act can be two performers in a lobby or a floor filled with people. Both are planned with the same care. Recent productions give a sense of the range:

Time Out Market Dubai: a large scale flashmob with more than 100 adults, kids, and staff performers, covering choreography, creative direction, costumes, and full production coordination.
Sobha Stars: an employee celebration with more than 60 talents, built around a 30 dancer fusion flashmob with roaming acts, musicians, and bands.
L'Oreal: a corporate flashmob with choreography, costume production, and live entertainment.
Sunvale by Grid Properties: contemporary dance with costumes and customized props leading into the brand reveal.

Numbers change the work behind the scenes more than the work on the floor. Rehearsal blocks, call times, holding areas, wardrobe, and cues all grow with the cast. That planning is ours to carry, not yours.

Cultural and contemporary dance

Not every brief calls for a flashmob. In Doha we staged a cultural performance built on traditional dance, with live movement, music, and costumes in a museum setting. For the VinFast UAE brand and car launch, the reveal was carried by a contemporary performance piece. Cultural work asks for research and respect for the source material. Contemporary work asks for a clear idea and dancers who can hold a room without help from props. We approach both as commissioned pieces, built around the brief in front of us. Research, casting, and music selection are part of that, and they happen well before anyone steps into a rehearsal room.

Working with a dance entertainment company in Dubai

The process is straightforward. You tell us the venue, the audience, the run of show, and what the moment is meant to do. We come back with a concept, a cast size, and a costume direction. Once that is agreed we book the dancers, brief them, schedule rehearsals, and manage the cast on site on the day. Beautiful entertainment needs proper planning, so we keep communication clear, coordination smooth, and acts ready when the moment comes.

Dance as part of the wider program

Dance rarely runs on its own. It usually sits next to roaming entertainment, a band, or a full custom show production. Booking those together helps keep the look and the timing consistent, because one team is holding the whole running order. At the DAMAC Riverside launch we combined roaming entertainment with a large stage solo show and flying drummers across more than 20 artists. For corporate events, that usually means one point of contact for the entire entertainment program.

The dancers

We cast from a network of 900+ handpicked talents across the UAE and GCC, and we have flown artists in when a brief needed it. Dancers are chosen for the job, not offered as a package. Some briefs want a tight troupe that can hold a stage on its own. Others want a crowd that appears out of nowhere and then disappears back into it. If a piece needs kids and staff on the floor next to professionals, as at Time Out Market, we rehearse and direct them too.
